Well it's gonnabe a short blog since I'm getting ready for work, but the DD concert was INTERESTING. The 1st hour was their new cd Red Carpet Massacre which isn't out til Nov 13th. so, nobody in the crowd had heard it yet - maybe 1 or 2 songs that were on DD's website. Plus, the style of music they're attempting now is collaborated with Justin Timberlake and Timbvaland - I think it's too young and too hip-hop infulenced for them. At one point Simon actually BEAT-BOXED - huh??
OK not the greatest choice - good thing Andy Taylor was outta there.
After an intermission though, the original 4 came out on stage on this electrnic synth/drum contraption and played some older songs all electrified and funked up - some you almost didn't know what the song was til they began singing,

And at the end when I "rushed" the stage - LOL
Nice choice of old shit - I Take The Dice and Last Chance on the Stairway for making me happy, and of course The Reflex where Annette and I did back up dancing like Charmaine Burke aned BJ Nelson. Good times! MIssin' Andy big time, and for that purpose, a t-shirt was not bought.
